I am Lisa Ciriello, the founder and baker of Lisa’s Cookie Shop, Inc.
In 2004, I left a corporate job in New York City to start a family and a business of my own. My life-long passion for good food and my quest for baked goods reminiscent of childhood led to the launch of Lisa’s Cookie Shop.
Growing up, my family moved often, and from a young age I became accustomed to living in a different city every couple of years. My appreciation for food grew with every move, as I began discovering each new place through its unique regional cuisine.
The recipes I’ve developed are inspired by my family and my travels growing up. Our Kitchen Sink Cookie is my way of paying homage to my Aunt Bernadette, a talented home-baker who had a habit of throwing whatever she had left over from the pantry into her cookies - you never knew what you were going to get, but it was always delicious!
Our Raspberry Bars remind me of the four years I spent living and working in Germany as a young adult. I can still recall the heavenly scent of butter and sugar that wafted through my window every morning from the bakery across the street.
Our Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe is inspired by my quest for the ultimate take on this classic – our version is crisp, buttery, and loaded with chocolate! I have a passion for baking and a true desire to offer my customers memories of the past. Lisa's Cookie Shop is able to do this through the homemade taste of scratch-baked cookies and bars and the personal attention paid to each and every order.
